What is the Micropool?

For many years a privately-run family pool, Micropool is now available to the general public! Micropool is designed for the whole family, appealing to all ages and all levels of hockey fanaticism. It's ideal for younger fans and those that may have less than rabid interest in hockey, but has the detail that the seasoned pros demand. Stats are clear and easy to read and follow. Special features like the amazing team Health-O-Meter™ provide an extra dimension of fun.

How does it work?

The Micropool is simplicity itself. A group of fans – poolies – become general managers, creating their own dream teams by drafting from a list of available players. As those players score goals and assists they collect points for the team. Micropool tracks the points and standings for each team in the pool. As their teams lose, players fall off the list, affecting the overall health of the team.

Here's all you have to do:

1. Gather together a group of poolies and appoint a pool administrator.
2. Choose an exceptionally witty and/or ferocious name for your team.
3. The administrator sets up teams for the pool and organizes the draft time.
4. Poolies become general managers and choose their players one by one in the real time draft.
5. Once the teams are selected all the hard work is done!
6. Log on every morning to see your team's performance and Health-O-Meter level!
7. As you see your team crumble and fade away vow to come up with a new draft strategy next year!
